I first met Alyssa and Bobby when Alyssa was the maid of honor at a fellow photographer’s wedding. She mentioned she was looking for a photographer for her wedding the next year and she would see how I did 😉
OBVIOUSLY she chose me… Alyssa is so on top of everything and working with her was easy.
As Alyssa and Bobby’s wedding quickly approached, I cautiously watched all of the construction outside of their ceremony site at Christ the King Catholic Church. It has been undergoing construction over the past 9 months. And Alyssa and I met every bit or so to touch base and tweak plans.
Finally the day arrived. I excitedly headed to The Tampa Yacht & Country club to photograph Alyssa and her bridesmaids as they got ready! Immediately when I walked in the front door I was greeted with the gorgeous smell of roses, and Carmen’s Flowers had done an INSANELY amazing job of decorating everywhere in the Yacht Club. Florals wound up the bannister, on the mantel and of course all over the event space.
The Yacht Club was an amazing venue for the reception and provided a gorgeous backdrop for all of the lovely bridesmaids getting ready. We had a little facetiming with “Grandma Tootsie,” some bottle popping, and obviously lots of laughs.
While the ladies were popping bottles at The TYCC, the guys were having a blast getting ready over at the Epicurean Hotel. What a fun little boutique hotel.
Both the bride and the Groom traded gifts and letters, which I always adore. It is such a special way to connect and touch even when you cannot see each other. Alyssa was so surprised at her thoughtful and obviously gorgeous earrings.
The bride put on the finishing touches while the groom and groomsman headed to the church…
We snagged some bridal and bridal party portraits before we headed to the church, and while the girls were glamming it up, the guys took advantage of the construction equipment at the church. Boys will be boys!!!
Alyssa and her bridesmaids were simply stunning and the landscaping at the Yacht Club made for the perfect elegant southern backdrop for portraits…
At the church, they were surrounded by family and friends as they were one of the first couples to exchange vows in the newly renovated Christ the King Catholic Church.
The bridal party hopped on the Jolley Trolley to head to the TYCC in style!
The TYCC was the perfect backdrop for more bridal party portraits, and the setting sun gave us the most amazing colors!
Even though they had been having fun all day long, it was time for the reception to begin!!! This crew knew how to party, and with the live band DeLeon, they went all night long. Alyssa and her father had choreographed a very special father daughter dance and the bride and groom even jumped on stage a few times. This was an epic wedding and I wish Alyssa and Bobby many years of happiness…
